Bill's Salvation Story
Bill was born in 1954 and grew up in the 1960's and 1970's. At the age of 16 he began a life of rebellion and walked away from his family legacy of honest, loving, honorable living. He became a party guy who did drugs, drank and lived any way he wanted to like all his worldly friends. He was a musician, drove motorcycles and became a dope smoking hippy. In early 1976 His mother and sister got saved in the Catholic Charismatic movement and they both began praying for him. That prayer targeted him for God way more than he could ever imagine.
In 1976 Bill was living alone in a cabin on Meacham Lake in upstate NY running his family marina for the summer. That summer friends of his had died from drug overdose and motorcycle accidents and it really shook him. At 11pm on July 11, he finally broke down and said this to the Lord; "Are You really up there? What happens to people when they die? If You are not up there I might was well just party my brains out".
After making this honest "prayer" to God he walked around the corner of his cabin and went through the porch door. As he crossed that threshold he walked right into what looked like a wall of liquid shimmering diamonds. He encountered the Presence of God in a very dramatic way and it knocked him to the floor. He was overcome by his own sin and then caught up in the power of Love that God Himself had for him. In that moment Bill wept, repented of his sin and was washed clean in ways he had never experienced before. That encounter with Jesus totally transformed his life.
That evening during a span of about two hours Bill was caught up into heaven in what looked to him like a huge hand, the hand of God, and the Lord spoke things to him he would never forget. He felt God's heart flood into his own heart and the Lord told him he was called as a prophet to the nations. He had no idea what that ment but he simply said "Yes". From that moment he was in passionate pursuit of God. He became a prophetic psalmist and worship leader, writing many worship songs. As he matured over the years the Lord allowed him to develop his ministry as a prophet, teacher and apostolic father to many.
